Rev. Dr. Timothy Fulop

Rector

Tim is the Rector at St. Paul’s. Previously he served as Priest-in-Charge at Christ Episcopal Church in Danville, VA while also working as an administrator and Professor of History and Religion at Averett University. He has a long history of bi-vocational service in churches, Church-related colleges and universities, and theological seminaries, serving originally as a Presbyterian Minister. He and his wife, Jackie, have four grown children: Evan, Grace, Emma and Lily. Jackie is a Montessori-certified elementary teacher and last taught at the Montessori Day School of Chapel Hill, NC. Born in Japan the son of missionary educators, Tim spent his junior and senior high years in Kansas City, and holds a BA in Philosophy from Wheaton College, an MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a PhD in Religions of the Modern West from Princeton University. He has been active on diocesan committees as well as with local nonprofits.
