Jean Kirchner is a native of Arlington, VA. She and Gary married in 1977 and more or less settled in Springfield, IL for 22 years (on the 2-year plan). The Navy brought them to Hampton Roads in 2002 and Jean began working for the Navy’s training organization in 2003. She retired in 2020 after 17 years working with non-military training initiatives. Jean and Gary have attended St. Paul’s since 2006. They have two children: Nathan and his family who currently live in St. Petersburg, FL area where Nate is stationed with the US Coast Guard, and Lauren and her family who live in Dallas, TX.
